Offering customers even better service: strong system partnership between Wirtgen and Streumaster

Streumaster manufactures high-quality binder spreaders exclusively for Wirtgen. These machines for pre-spreading lime and cement are an ideal completion of Wirtgen’s programme of soil stabilizers and cold recyclers. The latest product developments of this successful cooperation include the high-end spreader models SW 12 SC and SW 16 SC mounted on the “Crocodile” trailer, as well as the SW 3 FC.

Offering customers a complete solution

The two family businesses have been cooperating closely for many years: Streumaster – headquartered in Neumarkt-Sankt Veit, a small town in southern Germany – has been building spreaders for use in agriculture and the construction industry since 1967.
“Our system partnership with Streumaster puts us in a fortunate position, for it enables us to fully meet our customers’ requirements for a complete solution in soil stabilization and cold recycling. Streumaster produces a range of mature lime and cement spreaders on our behalf,” says Walter Grüber, Wirtgen Product Manager, explaining the cooperation with partner Streumaster.

The comprehensive product portfolio currently includes eight binding agent spreaders as either towed or built-up models. The SW 10 TA and SW 16 TA spreaders, as well as the two electronically controlled SW 10 TC and SW 16 TC binding agent spreaders, are part of the towed model range. Their binding agent containers have filling capacities of 10 m³ and 16.5 m³ respectively. The Streumaster spreaders of the A series spread binding agents in accordance with the travel speed of the unit’s tractor or carrier vehicle. Their excellent spreading performance is ensured by a special, generously dimensioned spreading auger. Spreaders of the A series are particularly suitable for use in soil stabilization. Streumaster spreaders of the C series are also suitable for use in cold recycling: In these spreader models, spreading and the uniform distribution of the binding agents are governed electronically in proportion to the travel speed of the tractor or carrier vehicle. Three self-cleaning metering feeders ensure continuous spreading of the binding agents irrespective of their specific weight or flow properties.
The SW 16 MC is available as a built-up spreader model. Spreading and the uniform distribution of the binding agents are governed electronically. The binding agent container has a filling capacity of 16.5 m³.

“Crocodile” trailer completes product portfolio

Streumaster is an innovative trendsetter, which is confirmed yet again by the newly designed SW 12 SC and SW 16 SC high-end spreader models, which are permanently mounted on the Crocodile trailer. The new trailer not only resembles a colossal crocodile, but also emulates the animal’s robust, sturdy build.
Streumaster’s engineers have paid much attention even to minute details to guarantee maximum reliability also on difficult ground: The resulting product is a self-propelled binding agent spreader – user-friendly and with high spreading capacity.
The Crocodile is on offer in two different designs: The first model, the SW 16 SC, offers a binding agent container capacity of 16 m³ and a working width of 2.76 m. The second model, the SW 12 SC, offers a binding agent container capacity of 12.5 m³ and a working width of 2.46 m.

New SW 3 FC front-mounted spreader

The new SW 3 FC is now also part of the Streumaster range: The binding agent spreader designed as a three-point attachment unit is used for soil stabilization and cold recycling. Combined with a tractor-towed stabilizer from Wirtgen, the front-mounted spreader is ideal for small construction sites. The unit’s binding agent container has a filling capacity of 3 m³.

Streumaster’s product portfolio is marketed via the Wirtgen Group and its 55 sales and service companies, as well as more than 100 authorized dealers. Local, on-site customer service is also handled via the Wirtgen Group’s professional service network. This concept offers customers tailor-made solutions for all requirements from one single source. “We certainly benefit from the global sales and service organization.
