    • The new, compact W 150 large milling machine can optionally be equipped with 1.20 m or 1.50 m wide milling drum units.

    • The milling and mixing rotor of the WS 250 is driven via the tractor’s power take-off. Dual mechanical belt drives left and right ensure optimum efficiency.

    • Foamed bitumen mix designs are carried out quickly and reliably with the new Wirtgen WLB 10 S laboratory plant and optional WLM 30 twin-shaft compulsory mixer.

    • The SP 150 from Wirtgen permits offset paving on the left or right side of the machine either inside or outside of the machine dimensions. It is equipped with a 60 kW engine.

Market leader Wirtgen presents three product innovations: focus on cold milling machines, stabilizers and recyclers

Unique programme of 15 cold milling machine models

As the world market leader in cold milling machines, Wirtgen GmbH sets a clear trend by displaying a representative choice from their innovative product portfolio, which comprises a total of 15 different machine models in all performance classes. In the small milling machine range, both rear loaders and front loaders will be exhibited at Intermat, including the W 35 DC, W 60 and W 100 F. The W 150, an entirely new development featuring the revolutionary WIDRIVE machine control system, and the W 2000 will be representing the large milling machine division. A highlight of Wirtgen cutting technology is the world’s largest milling drum which has a working width of 4.40 m for milling jobs in XXL size.

New products for soil stabilization and cold recycling

Wirtgen will present the track-mounted 2200 CR recycler and the wheel-mounted WR 2400 soil stabilizer and recycler to the trade public in the internationally recognized technology sector of soil stabilization and cold recycling.

The 2200 CR cold recycler is used for the in-situ rehabilitation of roads, and can optionally be equipped with a powerful integrated paving system consisting of a spreading auger and paving screed. The machine is of exceptionally flexible design, enabling water-cement slurry, bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen to be mixed into the existing pavement material. In addition, the cold recycler impresses with a practical concept of dual use: The 2200 CR can also be operated as a road milling machine.

The compact WR 2400 recycler can also be used in all common types of application involving the recycling of pavement structures at full depth by adding different binding agents, such as bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen. It goes without saying that this machine offers a broad range of applications as well, ensuring optimum utilization of the machine: With a powerful 420 kW engine and a working width of 2.40 m, which is standard internationally, the WR 2400 is also the ideal choice for soil stabilization.

Two product innovations stand out among the development-related achievements in the cold recycling division, which have to date not been shown at an international construction equipment exhibition: With the mobile WLB 10 S and WLM 30 laboratory plants, Wirtgen offers user-oriented enhancements of the testing units for special application in cold recycling with foamed bitumen, both of which are highly popular with customers, research institutes and specialist laboratories. The WLB 10 S produces foamed bitumen in the laboratory by varying different parameters, such as bitumen temperature, bitumen pressure and the quantity of water during injection of the binding agent. The plant enables test series to be carried out for the purpose of determining the ideal foamed bitumen properties. The WLM 30 twin-shaft compulsory mixer can be used for mix designs of both hydraulically bound and bituminous layers as the high mixing intensity fully reflects field application.

Product innovations will also be presented for soil stabilization. With the WS 220 and WS 250, Wirtgen has developed two tractor-towed stabilizer models capable of mixing binding agents, such as lime or cement, into the soil homogeneously to improve the bearing capacity. Coming with a working width of 2.50 m and a working depth of 50 cm, the WS 250 on display is the new, compact solution for economical and efficient soil stabilization on both small and large surfaces.

System partner Streumaster presents new products

System partner Streumaster will present the SW 12 SC high-end spreader mounted on the Crocodile carrier vehicle, which is a perfect complement to the mature range of tracked and wheeled stabilizers and recyclers from Wirtgen. The application and even distribution of the binding agent is governed electronically, and the spreader is suitable for use in both soil stabilization and cold recycling. The binding agent container has a filling capacity of 12.5 m³.

Smallest slipform paver model: the all-rounder in offset paving

In the slipform paver division, Wirtgen will present the SP 150, the smallest concrete paver model. The SP 150 is a compact specialist offering ease of transport. Its highly flexible concept for mould and track arrangement enables it to pave a broad variety of monolithic profiles, such as safety barriers, water gutters and canals, in offset application. The machine has a standard paving width of 1.50 m and standard paving height of 90 cm.
