The first wheeled paver type Super 1103-2 delivered to Italy had its debut in Villa di Serio, a small town in the North Italian region of Lombardy. The paving gang replaced the asphalt pavement of a car park and some pavements in a residential area.
A single-drum compactor from Hamm prepared the subgrade in a first operation, producing a perfectly compacted base that enabled effortless navigation of the road paver. The Super 1103-2 paver demonstrated its exceptional capabilities right from the start. The machine’s high productivity, superior paving accuracy and excellent manoeuvrability impressed both the contractor and the paving gang.
The contractor’s technical manager expressed his satisfaction with the compact wheeled paver, “We were looking for a machine that is capable of carrying out smaller but frequently recurring jobs. The Super 1103-2 is ideal for applications in an urban environment.”
